Join Dr. Simone Phillips from Educating Youth Services for a presentation on Executive Function Training for Parents and How to Unlock Your Teen’s Full Potential. The program is intended to provide an introduction to executive functions and how they affect learning and ways to identify if your teen has executive function weakness. Dr. Phillips will also share effective strategies that can be implemented at home to help support your teen’s executive functions. There will be a brief discussion about the 12 week executive function training program for teens ages 13 to 16.
Executive Functions are the mental processes that enable us to plan, organize, strategize, pay attention, remember details, and manage time effectively. These skills are the foundation of academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong success.
Dr. Simone Phillips, Ed.D. earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education, from American International College, located in Springfield Massachusetts, in 1997; a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Psychology, from American International College, in 2004; and a Doctorate Degree in Professional Counseling and Supervision, from American International College, in 2016. She has been licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a Licensed Educational Psychologist since 2015 and is am a member of the American Counseling Association. Dr. Phillips has clinical training and experience in conducting psychological and educational assessments and mental health counseling.
