Join Kathy Sheppard and Joseph Doran from IRIS CT (Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services), Heidi Gilmore Windsor Locks Social Services Director, and Judy Kilty, Enfield host of a Ukrainian family for a panel discussion on helping refugees in Connecticut. This program is for anyone who wants to help or is thinking about hosting a family. Immigrants, refugees or displaced people can also find information on services and programs to assist them at the event.

Kathy Sheppard and Joe Doran are managers of the Ukrainian Program at IRIS.  They are working to make sure Ukrainians who have arrived in Connecticut can access the benefits for which they are entitled under the Uniting for Ukraine - humanitarian parole program.  This includes Husky Health Insurance, SNAP/cash benefits, Employment Authorization, Social Security card, and general assistance with other services for which a newcomer and their sponsor may need help.
